With head carver Guujaaw, Jaalen spent several months in 2007/2008 carving one of the three canoes residing at the Haida Heritage Centre at Kaay Llnagaay.  The T’a canoe is 36 feet long.  Its seaworthiness was tested during the grand opening of the Haida Heritage Centre when a crew took it out around Skidegate inlet.
